At Maier Festival Park, this coming June 4th and 5th, 2010 (Friday and Saturday), a spin-off of the Summerfest will be on stage. This spin-off will feature alternative and modern rock bands.
The management of the Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. is asking its fans to submit a name and logo for this new festival. You must submit your entry by 11:59pm on Sunday, February 21st. Then the public will have a week to review the finalists’ submissions, starting March 1st, and vote to determine the new name and logo.
It’s already been announced that this as yet un-named festival will feature three stages of alternative and modern rock bands, action sports competitions, and shopping.

Update: Katie Kostuck won the contest to name the spin-off festival of Summerfest which features alternative and modern rock music. It’s called Verge Music Festival and the logo is fantastic.
